You're strapped down to a lab table being vivisected. Y-Yay. Your head has been slightly elevated, so you have the "pleasure" of looking at your still beating heart as your other organs are poked and prodded by a room full of strangers.
You growl through a muzzle that's far too fucken tight, body starting to tremble violently as the administered anesthetic begins wearing off, but the restraints ( thankfully??? ) manage to keep you detained. Darting your eyes around the room for a bit you finally spot Dr. Elliot Forester, who looks nothing short of amused that you're finally coming to… again. He chuckles, twirling a scalpel in between his fingertips, because he's apparently having himself a real good time. It all comes to a screeching halt when he buries the blade of the scalpel in your jaw though, blood immediately filling your mouth as he leans over a hisses his frustration through clenched teeth. It makes no sense, he says, how you're more intelligent, resilient, and strong than the creatures he's created when you're nothing more than an amalgamation of bargain bits and pieces.
You make a pitiful attempt to thrash around, but your movements are sluggish and uncoordinated, your head still partially up in the clouds even though the burst of pain had hit you like a freight train.
A number of computer consoles in the room start flashing warnings without... warning. Alarms sound from all around and the lights begin to flicker. Everybody ( including Elliot ) look around, confused. In the corner you noticed a pair mismatched eyes, but as quickly as you swear you saw them they're gone. Elliot bangs his fists on one of the consoles, cursing loudly, and then he's barking orders at the other people in the room and storming out. It sounds like the shit has hit the fan elsewhere in the building and while fucking with you is fun it's certainly not a priority.
A small girl appears at your side as soon as everybody else has left, removing the scalpel and the muzzle and setting her cool, metal hand on your bruised snout.
It takes a lot more effort than you could have ever imagined, but you finally manage to open your eyes. In front of you is a small girl and she seems abso-fucken-lutely delighted that you've come to, so much so that her smile broadens as soon as her hand hits the glass tube you're suspended in.
But... o- oh... this is... no, y- you don't like it. An intense pain sears your backside, a burning feeling making you writhe around, because there are several dozen tubes and wires buried into you. Formally they had been keeping you alive, but now they're doing nothing but causing you severe discomfort and you. want. them. out.
You open your mouth to scream-! but nothing... so immediately you start thrashing around, which alarms the girl. It might have been too early to release you, but she's worried and concerned and she doesn't know how else to help you... at least from *here*.
"Hold on 586!"
All of a sudden the liquid starts draining from the tube, leaving you to sink to the bottom. As soon as you hit the platform there the bodily connections go slack, giving you a bit of relief as the tube raises above your head. The girl approaches and kneels down, offering a hand for you to sniff.
"I am Error. Hello." A bit of a pause and then, "I think you should let me clean you off, since you are very... gooey." She cracks a small smile as you press your head into her hand, smearing some of the stuff onto her. "...you did that on purpose." But she doesn't seem mad and, instead, uses the edge of her dress to start wiping you clean.
It takes you a moment to come to, because you've been drugged, but as soon as you do you realize you're in a cramped cage. A few lights flicker on here and there, revealing that you're not the only one – and there are a number of other creatures in cages to your left and your right. You growl, for what it's worth, trying to figuring out just where the fuck you've been taken.
“ah, You’re finally awake, 586, …good. I have quite the day planned. Let’s see if you can survive the gauntlet I’ve created especially for you.” Elliot comes over the loud speaker and you look up, half expecting to see his stupid fucken face, but nope. A whoosh startles you as the door to your enclosure opening into a makeshift arena, the crackle of the surrounding electric fences buzzing all around. Across from you is an enormous beast, ready to fight.
“I’ve really outdone myself this time, I know.” A pause, and you swear you can hear the tilt in his voice signaling he’s smiling. “Don’t disappoint me.” And by that he definitely means die.
It’s an especially rough fight, with you doing your best not to get turbo-fucked by an adversary at least five times your size as you desperately try to shake the drugs out of your system. You know you can't brute force it, not like this, so instead you settle on attacking all of the light fixtures, ultimately plunging the entire area into darkness. You camouflage a moment later to disappear, the other monster screaming out in frustration and then in pain as you remove a number of its eyes to blind it. As it thrashes around you take the opportunity to jump onto it, racing along its back and toward its head, so you can leap over the fence to flee.
You can hear Elliot screaming over the loudspeaker following the 'womf' of a number of search lights coming on. Some in the arena and some outside of it. You slow your movements to avoid disturbing the surrounding flowers, plants, and trees, because you're not looking to get caught.
Carefully, you creep away, but the telltale snarling of several of Elliot's other creations getting louder and louder says you're probably going to get caught if you don't do something quick.
It really hasn't been long since you came to be. Lights are still bright, sounds are still loud, and everything is still really confusing. You had been getting used to your surroundings and trying to figure out how legs work when you were grabbed and stuffed into a satchel. Error, as the 'human' introduced herself, is delighted by your existence, which makes you... happy? A lot of nice feelings swell in your tiny chest and you decide you like that, so your chirp your own joy right back.
She's saying things, things you don't necessarily understand, but the chipper tone with which she's speaking tells you that wherever you're going and whatever you're doing is bound to be good.
But you're wrong and you unfortunately realize that way too late.
Error knocks on a cold, metal door as she calls our for 'brother'. She's ignored for a couple of minutes, but she's nothing if not persistent, adding a couple more knocks for good measure. "I have something to show you. I think you'll like it."
A grumble arises from the other side and then the door finally opens. "What?" Elliot snaps, but she doesn't seem phased. "What is it? Don't you know I'm very busy. I don't have time for your inane interruptions."
But Error is much too proud of her creation to be deterred, so she reaches into the satchel to grab for you. Unfortunately for her you don't have a good feeling about this, so you bite her... doing jack and shit. Stunned, she manages to pull you out, showing you off to her brother, who looks just as stunned. "I made him, just like you make-"
A resounding slap has her head snapping to the side and the following few minutes are dead. fucken. silent. His face is an eerie mix of emotions and it looks like he might pop.
"But brother, I..." Another slap. His anger only coming to more of a boil.
"I told you not to call me that. Never to call me that." He hisses out, tone uneven as he seems to be barely keeping it together. "You're not her. This, it's a mess... just a complete waste of time, effort, money, and resources... Have you no shame!" And he snatches you from her, squeeze what little life you've been given. You squirm relentlessly, but thankfully he's not nearly as hard as she is, so your bite goes much further. He drops you with a curse, and you scramble away in a panic.
You hear him verbally abusing her some more. And you're sure it's not going to stop there. You don't stop running though. You can't, not if you want to live to see another day, yourself.
It starts on a sour note… getting stabbed. You howl in pain, knock him down, and stomp his head in. His body immediately goes limp ( and lifeless ) though his god forsaken knife is still stuck in your side. Ripping it out you fling it at another soldier, one that’s trying to gather a severely broken Error into his arms. It strikes his throat, which he clutches, staggering backward and bleeding out in minutes. A few remaining soldiers hesitate, but ultimately they know their mission, so they open fire in a desperate attempt to take you down. Activating your camouflage and disappear, taking them down one by one. As soon as the last soldier has fallen you reappear, venom dripping from your jowls.
!!! Error !!!
You quickly move to her side to assess the damage, gently nosing her with your snout, but she’s not at all with it... mentally and physically. If only you had gotten there sooner, then perhaps some of this could have been avoided.
